Small Business Utilization

The University of Iowa is strongly committed to doing business with small business entities. The University utilizes Small, Small-Disadvantaged, Women-owned, Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Institutions whenever possible.

In addition to a vigorous informal program, the University participates in two formal programs to identify and utilize small businesses. We participate in the Iowa Department of Economic Development's (IDED) Targeted Small Business Program (TSB). We also participate in the U.S Small Business Administration (SBA) program.

You may self certify as a SBA business entity by completing a University VAF - Vendor Application Form.
