Quill and Scroll sponsors writing, photo, newspaper and yearbook competitions each year.
Writing and Photo Contest
Currently enrolled high school students are invited to enter the International Writing, Photo Contest, sponsored by hsj.org and Quill and Scroll. Awards are made in each of the 12 divisions. Winners will receive Quill and Scroll's National Award Gold Key and, if seniors, are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

Yearbook Excellence Contest
Winners of the Quill and Scroll Yearbook Excellence Contest are eligible as seniors to apply for a scholarship. This contest is co-sponsored annually by one of the following yearbook companies: Herff-Jones, Jostens, Taylor and Walsworth. Any member school is eligible to enter regardless of which company published the yearbook in any given year.
