Joining Quill and Scroll
Charter Application
To be eligible for a Quill and Scroll charter, your high school must publish a magazine, newspaper, yearbook, literary magazine, broadcast program or a Web site. Also eligible are schools with students who are under the supervision of a local news bureau, radio/television station or publication. Charter applications are provided by the international office upon request. A Quill and Scroll charter is granted for the lifetime of the school and there are no annual dues.

Student Memberships
Membership is open to all publication staff members in a chartered high school. Current membership prices and ordering information will be provided upon chartering.

Non-member Awards
Several awards are available for outstanding staff members not eligible for Quill and Scroll membership or for use in high schools that are not charter members. These awards include the sterling silver Creative Writing Award, the Gold Journalism Award, the Publication Award for Magazine, Newspaper or Yearbook Staffs and the Award of Honor Certificates.
