Jon Stewart transferred into the University of Iowa as a junior and he will be double-majoring in Computer Science and Linguistics for the foreseeable future (rumor has it that he may graduate in May 2001, but don't hold your breath). He originally started college at Iowa State University and first played college-level quiz bowl on the ISU team under Christian Casper's Reign of Terror. Jon is pretty much a generalist at this time, although he's fairly sure he can beat your ass on computer science questions of an academic nature. He also gets literature questions from time to time, especially if they're about Shakespearean dramas or famous American authors. Jon takes full responsibility for any and all ISU-bashing that occurs on the website and he looks forward to going up against his old pals from ISU in the future; he would love to beat Josh Kortbein on any toss-ups with "Perl" as the answer. He thinks writing in the third person is slick.
