People> Matt Larson

(Generalissimo Matt Larson, in all his transcendent glory.)

Shortly after the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, Matt began to play
quiz bowl at the University of Iowa. Notable victories in which Matt played
a key role would be CBI Regionals 1997 (held at Iowa), We Don't Want Any
More Irish Immigration, Please! 1924 (held at Boston University), and the
Better Red Than Dead Singles Tournament 1953 (held at UW-Madison.)

After his initial run of quiz bowl came to an end, Matt began to wrestle for
several different independent promoters, wrestling under such names as Chief
Iron Fist, Sheik al-Arson, and the Fabulous Moolah. The seventies and
eighties saw him sharpening his dictatorial skills in central Africa, before
a 1991 coup drove him from power in Larsonia (now Rhodesia [now Zimbabwe])
and led him back to Iowa, for another go at quiz bowling.

His current stint was highlighted by the bloody coup he launched last year
to become team coach. Now Coach-For-Life, he leads a life of resplendent
luxury, built upon the backs of his quiz bowling subordinates.

Memorable Quote: "Oh no. Look upon MY works and despair, mother fucker."
Voted "Most Likely To Still Be Here Next Year."
