Dustin Eaton

Dustin Eaton studies the religion and culture of South Asia with Dr. Fred Smith, author of the newly released The Self Possessed. Dustin's primary field of interest is the modern iterations of Buddhist traditions in India and among diasporic Dalit communities in North America. Dustin has studied French, Sanskrit and Hindi and has just returned from three months in Pune where he studied Pali at the American Institute of Indian Studies. Dustin has been a teaching assistant for a diverse range of courses including The Bible and Film; Living Religions of the East; Introduction to Islam; and The Judeo-Christian Tradition(s). Dustin lives in Coralville Iowa with his wife Katie and their Himalayan cat Wavy Gravy.
