Ezra Plank
Ezra Plank completed his Bachelors (1999) and Masters (2006) degrees in Religion from Pepperdine University. He is in the Historical Religious Traditions track of the Religious Studies PhD program; his period of focus is the reformation era of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries.

He recently passed his comprehensive exams under the guidance of his advisor, Dr. Raymond Mentzer. His dissertation will focus on French Reformed churches and their efforts to mold their congregants' families into "little churches."

While at The University of Iowa, Ezra has worked as both a Research Assistant and a Teaching Assistant. He has served as a Teaching Assistant in The Judeo-Christian Tradition, Quest for Human Destiny (Religion and Literature), Introduction to Islam, and Early Modern Catholicism.

On the personal side, Ezra is an avid mountain climber, summiting most of the 14,000 ft. peaks in the California Sierras as well as doing some climbing in the Swiss Alps. He also enjoys gardening, playing guitar, discussing movies, and watching his two daughters explore the world.
