Michele Petersen  
Michele Petersen is a PhD candidate in the area of Modern Religious Thought under the guidance of Professor David E. Klemm. Her dissertation is entitled "A Hermeneutics of Contemplative Silence: Paul Ricoeur and the Heart of Meaning."

Her research interests include philosophical and theological hermeneutics, philosophical theology, phenomenology, and theological ethics.

At The University of Iowa, Michele has been a Teaching Assistant for The Judeo-Christian Tradition, Religion and Society, Religion and Liberation, Sexual Ethics, and Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Michele received her BA and MA from The University of Iowa, and her MA from the University of Notre Dame.
