Sumeyye Pakdil  
Sumeyye Pakdil received her Bachelors degree (2003) in Political Science and Public Administration from Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey) and Masters degree (2008) in International Studies from The University of Kansas. She is in the Modern Religious Thought track of the Religious Studies Ph.D. program, and focuses on political Islam, and relations between religion, politics, and women.

In the 2009 fall semester, Sumeyye is a TA for "Women in Islam and the Middle East." Her advisor is Dr. Ahmed E. Souaiaia.

Sumeyye loves cooking, trying different cuisines, reading, traveling, and spending time with her husband and her family.
