Research Interests: Missionary work in Mexico during XVI and XVIII centuries; Literature of the Colonial Era in Latin America, particularly Mexico XVI-XVIII c.; Processes of acculturation and resistance in Conquest Mexico; Christianity and global religious encounters XVI-XVIII c. particularly in China, Japan, and Mexico; Religion and literature in Japan; Art, culture and syncretism; and all sorts of productions that come out of contact between cultures.
