AREA OF STUDY:I am a doctoral candidate in the Historical Religious Traditions program, with an emphasis on the reforming movements of the 16th century, in particular among the Lutherans. My dissertation is focused on Martin Luther’s use of mental imagery in certain of his devotional writings and the popular reception of those writings.

(I also studied two semesters at the Eberhard-Karls Universität Tübingen in Germany in 1990-1991.)
