Mapping Exercise |
Have students fill out individual half-sheets anonymously according to their own opinions. Collect the sheets, shuffle them, and then redistribute so each student has a new sheet. Students map each statement by physically moving into groups according to the level of agreement indicated on their new sheet and attempt as a group to develop a compelling argument for this position. Once each group has shared their argument, move on to the next statement and have students regroup, formulate an argument, and then share with the class. 1= strongly agree; 2=slightly agree; 3=neutral; 4=slightly disagree; 5=strongly disagree 1.)
