IMPORTANT: There will be an important meeting regarding the Spring Break 08 trip on Thursday November 8th in the IMU “The Hawkeye” Lounge. It‟s located on the ground floor of the IMU here. The meeting will be at 8:30pm. If possible, bring you check book or cashier‟s check. Below is the info you need about the trip. The UI Scuba Club members originally planned to take a trip as a club to Key West FL this spring break. We recently came across a limited time offer online for a trip to Cozumel Mexico for less money.
Comparing the two trips: Key West: March 15th-20nd 1 day drive in each direction 5 days at hotel 5 days of diving Open Water checkout dives available NOT all inclusive (Add $ for food) Cooler water, lower visibility in March Need 15 people to make feasible $1065pp + food= approximately $1300

Cozumel Trip: March 15th-20th Arrive by 12:45pm on March 15th, Home by 9:45pm on 20th 5 days at hotel 3 days of diving Open Water checkout dives available ALL INCLUSIVE (Food, beer, activites) Warm Water, high visibility, even in March Only need 4 people, can take as many as possible $1023pp+ diving= approximately $1250
The UI Scuba Club is not allowed to travel outside of the US as a group. This trip is a group of individuals going diving together. Although the club is being used as a venue through which to advertise and plan the trip, it is only a trip among friends. We will still get discounts on diving due to the size of the group.

Each person attending this trip must be a paid member of the UI Scuba Club. All

Once I receive your money and the check clears, I will book the trip for you and anyone else with their money submitted. For every 4 people that submit their money, I can book another room. As of Wednesday November 6th, 8 people have committed to the trip.
Because we will be traveling outside of the US, it is an absolute necessity that you obtain a US Passport before we leave. If you do not have one, you won‟t be able to re-enter the US.
I have not yet arranged anything with a dive company in Cozumel. Anyone who needs to do Open Water checkout dives will ABSOLUTELY be able to do those (weather permitting). Diving will most likely be less than $80 per day for certified divers. Below is more information about the hotel and cost breakdown for the trip. It is imperative that you get your money to me immediately so we can book this before the deal disappears or the price goes up!

All rooms offer one king size or two double beds.
