Alternative Media Services

Alternative Media Services helps students gain access to printed classroom materials (including textbooks, syllabi, and handouts) in alternative formats such as Braille. Assistive technology is used to reformat materials. Since the process takes time, students are asked to discuss material reformatting needs with their SDS advisor as soon as possible, and submit a Reformatted Materials Request Form to our office. For more information, please contact sds-mediaservices@uiowa.edu.
