Under the auspices of The University of Iowa Foundation and the Office of Student Disability Services, the David and Rosalie Braverman Scholarship was created to encourage graduate or professional students with disabilities to advance their education at the University of Iowa. This fund was established in 1976 by David Braverman and his family to support various projects for persons with disabilities at The University of Iowa.
One scholarship will be awarded for the 2014-2015 year. The recipient will be allocated $1750 for the academic year. The recipient will be expected to attend a reception given in his/her honor in the fall of 2014 and consent for his/her name to be included in a press release. Previous applicants and awardees are encouraged to reapply.
It was announced 8/27/2013 that Carly Armour is one of the University’s two recipients of the David J. Skorton Staff Excellence Award for Service to The University of Iowa for 2013. Our campus and students have benefited from the many activities Carly has spearheaded and she fully personifies the intention and spirit of this honor. Awardees were recognized at a Faculty/Staff Awards Banquet on Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Hats off to Carly for her tireless contributions and for receiving this most-deserved award!
