Registration ProcessStudents interested in receiving services from our office need to: 1. Be admitted and decide to come to The University of Iowa. 2. Arrange for disability evaluation. Make sure materials are complete, current, and consistent with our documentation requirements. See Documentation Guidelines. 3. Complete the Request for Documentation and Services Review form. Submit this form anddocumentation to Student Disability Services for evaluation. 4. Make an appointment for an intake interview as soon as possible after receipt of the letter notifying you of your eligibility for services. Please bring all class syllabi to the appointment. How long will it take?Processing documentation usually takes about a week. During hectic periods such as the first weeks of the semester, the review process may take longer. Please give us a call if you need to know the status of your application. Our staff will respond to you promptly.
