Cocaine

Slang for cocaine: coke, C, toot, cola, snow, flake, blow, gold dust

Definition: Generally classified as an amphetamine, however, because it is so widely used and known, a separate section is included here. Increases heart rate, breathing rate, blood pressure, and body temperature.

Effects include:

  • Dilated pupils
  • apathy
  • anxiety
  • sleeplessness
  • paranoia
  • hallucination
  • craving for more cocaine
  • weight loss
  • constant sniffing

Effects of overdose include: Seizures, heart attack, death

Duration:
onset: 15 - 30 seconds
lasts: 10-40 minutes

Administration: orally, snorted, injected
