Evan Mazunik Hometown: Des Moines, Iowa Pledged: 2001

Evan Mazunik, a graduate student in jazz studies, fuses multiple musical roles as a pianist, composer, and improviser. He has worked with such distinguished musicians as Carla Bley, Bob Mintzer, Bobby Shew, and Steve Swallow, and has scored the documentary Checker King, which will air on Cinemax in 2003. Evan conducts Gamut, his Soundpainting ensemble, and has been a member of The Walter Thompson Orchestra since 2002.

I am excited to see the chapter's enthusiasm and size at such a "young" stage. I envision the chapter deepening in brotherhood and growing in service in the years to come.
