Greg Mazunik Music Director Hometown: Des Moines, Iowa Pledged: Fall, 2001 (maybe spring 2002? I can't remember at all now)

I'm the Music Director here at the Iota Gamma chapter of Phi Mu Alpha. I am a sophomore majoring in tuba performance, splitting time as a jazz bass player. The ensembles I participate in are Symphony Band, Johnson County Landmark (the top jazz band here at the University of Iowa), numerous small jazz ensembles, Gamut (an improvisatory ensemble), and way too many other things to remember as I write this.

My vision for our chapter of Phi Mu Alpha is to become a brotherhood of musicianly men that positively affects the university and the community. As a growing chapter, I can start to see the beginnings of the tremendous things we can do to "instill in all people an awareness of music's important role in the enrichment of the human spirit." I can't wait to see our chapter grow in numbers and become a positive force around the music building and Iowa City.
