Joe Heitz, Alumni Secretary Hometown: Farley, Iowa Pledged: 2001

As a senior studying journalism and French horn performance, I play horn in the UI Symphony Band and horn choir. I've also been a member of the UI Symphony Orchestra and mellophone co-section leader in the Hawkeye Marching Band. Last fall, I studied political science in Ljubljana, Slovenia, where I also played horn in a community band. Following graduation, I hope to get a job as a newspaper copy editor or earn a master's degree in journalism.

The thing I enjoy most about membership in this group is the people. Thanks to Phi Mu Alpha, I've met a bunch of guys I might not have otherwise. I think this is our chapter's biggest strength and I hope this will continue in the future.
