Department Wins Funding for Portable Video Studio

The Department of Sociology was granted $4,500 to purchase video equipment. This includes three HD cameras, lighting equipment, a portable backdrop system (like a shower-curtain with interchangeable colors), boom microphones, and related equipment.

This will primarily be used in the Center for the Study of Group Processes, as the need for video-taping interactions has grown year after year. It will also be used for providing feedback in student teaching and other speaking assignments, and possibly for interviewing alumni to answer the eternal question of "What do you do with a Sociology degree?"
