Kelly Richardson

Visiting Assistant Professor

Kelly Richardson works as a research analyst at the Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City.  She is involved in a variety of research projects designed to improve health care for veterans.  Two recent projects focused on reducing costs due to post-surgical complications and exploring how culture influences the choice to utilize alternative approaches to medical care.  Outside the VA she continues to work on research stemming from her dissertation.  This work focuses on the influences of community organizations on neighborhood crime and victimization rates.
