Dennis Heinrich
My undergraduate work, from Western Illinois University, was in the social sciences, the physical sciences, and teacher education. I am a retired professional firefighter after twenty-four years of service and I am also retired from the active and reserve military after three decades and bookend wars.
I began my graduate work at Iowa in the Fall of 2005 and study organizations, occupations, and work. My areas of interest are organizational culture, high-velocity work groups, and civil society. Currently, I am an RA working on a two-year project examining Governance in High-Performing Organizational Systems.
Whenever I can, I enjoy spending time with my lovely wife Karla, also a teacher, our family, and our friends. We have two adult children. Our daughter Noelle(UNI BA, MS) works in human resources for ABB International and our son, Nathan(Iowa BA, MBA) and his wife Sarah(Iowa BA), work for John Deere in Moline. My musical tastes lean toward jazz and the standards. These are some of the slices of my life.
