Richard A. Harris
I received my B.A. in Psychology from Morehouse College in 2006. While at Morehouse, I was honored to be inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Society, The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Psi-Chi, and Golden Key International Honor Society.
My main research interest, as an undergraduate and even now, is deviant behavior. Therefore, my area of concentration will be in crime, law, and social control. I am interested in males who commit physically violent and sexually deviant crimes. These areas interest me because so many people have the urge to become physically violent or sexually deviant, but refrain from acting out these impulses. I would like to do research to gain a better understanding of what causes some individuals to act out these impulses instead of repressing them. I am also interested in looking at the role of the family, especially parents, and how they influence the behaviors of their children.
In my spare time, I love to just relax and listen to music. I also enjoy spending time with family, especially my angel, and all of my nieces and nephews.
