Wang Yan

I received my bachelors degree in Sociology from Nankai University, China in 2008. There I met many excellent professors and participated in different interesting research projects. During my undergraduate study, I gradually focused my research interest on stratification, gender and sociological methods, both quantitive and qualitative. I hope to research social structure underlying stratification and gender inequalities in work and family context.

In my spare time, I like reading, watching movies, hiking and spending time with my friends. Also, traveling the whole world with my family and friends is another biggest dream of mine besides sociology. I’m very happy to join the program and meet so many nice people here!
