Advising

Martha Greer serves as the academic advisor for Sociology majors. She is available to undergraduate students for assistance with the following:

• Advisor signatures on add/drop and other university forms
  
• Questions about your spring course registration
  
• Questions or problems with your degree audit
  
• Academic probation
  
• Opportunities for Honors students
  
• Discussions regarding adding second majors, minors, and certificate programs
  
• Information regarding campus resources for students
  
• Other questions or concerns you may have

For adding and dropping courses and other immediate issues, Martha will hold drop-in hours in her office (W519 Seashore Hall) during the Spring 2012 semester on the following schedule:

Mondays:	1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
Tuesdays:	8:30 – 10:30 a.m.
Wednesdays:	3:30 – 4:30 p.m.
Thursdays:	10:00 a.m. – noon

Scheduling an individual appointment is recommended if you would like to review your degree audit, map out a plan to graduation, or have other questions for which you would like to have an extended conversation. To schedule an appointment with Martha, please call Josh at 319-384-1328.

Undergraduate Sociology majors will continue to be assigned to faculty advisors who are available to provide additional mentoring, especially in regard to career exploration and graduate school opportunities.
