LISW needed for combined Staff Social Worker & School-Based Therapist opportunity. Clinical staff social worker duties include responsibility (50% of appointment) with patients assigned for intake, evaluation and treatment. He/she collaborates clinically with other staff and participates with them in evaluating the services and planning its future goals and objectives. School-based therapist duties include responsibility (50% of appointment – 3 days per week while school is in session) for students identified for intake, evaluation and treatment. He/she collaborates clinically with other Vera French and school personnel and participates with them in evaluating the services and planning future goals and objectives. Each school based therapist may and is encouraged to participate in additional responsibilities in special areas of interest. This position is site-based in selected Scott County elementary schools and requires some degree of flexibility to work effectively with families. Each staff social worker may and is encouraged to participate in additional responsibilities in special areas of interest
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree from CSWE accredited social work program or related field
• Licensure in State of Iowa.
• Prefer previous experience in the field of mental health, including individual and group therapy with children and adolescents.
