Transportation on Campus, around town, to and from the area
Air travel and driving directions to campus.
The closest airport is the Eastern Iowa Airport in Cedar Rapids, about 15 miles to the northwest via Interstate 380.
Cheaper fares can be found at the Quad Cities International Airport in Moline, IL, but it’s about an hour and fifteen minute drive from Iowa City.
If you live far from campus, you may need a car, and finding parking can be difficult and costly (spots are available in the Hancher commuter lot, but after commuters, they are only available on a first-come, first-served basis). Check out the area bus systems as another option.
