2004 SPJ National Convention: Raising the Torch
Sept. 9 - 11, 2004

It's never too early to mark your calendar for SPJ's 2004 National Convention. Meet students
from across the country, network with professionals who can help you land your first job,
interview with recruiters, and more importantly, learn skills that will make you a better
journalist. Because the 2004 SPJ National Convention is scheduled so early in the school year
(Sept. 9 -11), you'll want to make plans early.

More than 1,000 journalists from around the country are expected to gather in New York City
for the 2004 SPJ National Convention. Throughout the weekend, some of the country's leading
analysts, editors, and reporters will explore timely trends and techniques affecting
professional and student journalists of all media forums.

Key speakers will include:
Walter Cronkite, Clarence Page, Brian Williams, Bill Moyers, Karen House, Michael Bloomberg, Jill Abramson, David Brooks, and Karen Jurgensen. More information can be found here.

LOCATION:
Grand Hyatt Hotel
