Staff Council Elections: February 9 - 22, 2007
Professional Health Care

Date: February 8, 2007

The following staff members are running for Staff Council in the Professional Health Care category:

Jill Kordick - I believe my experience as a rural hospital CEO will lend itself well to the Council.  I have worked with budgets, HR development and issues; as well as strategic planning. I have worked with media, internal boards, regulatory agencies and external boards.  In my current role I work with many external clinical partners.  I think this knowlege and previous work experience would be useful in a Council role.  Thank you for the opportunity.

Paul Ruff - Paul is an outstanding individual who has served the University in all capacities.  His job background from the university and prior jobs gives him a unique perspective on issues facing employees.  His knowledge, leadership and experience would be an asset to the council.  He is willing to volunteer to help out his co-workers .  His ideas are fresh, new and he thinks problems thru before stating an opinion.

Dianne Wasson - Dianne has excellent insight into staff concerns related to health benefits and has demonstrated a great commitment to the UI. She would be a strong leader on Staff Council.  She is an Advanced Practice Nurse in the Strategic Relations Department, UI Health Plans Office.  As the case manager/care coordinator working with UI employees, UI retirees, graduate students and their families, Dianne serves as an advocate particularly from the health benefits perspective.
