1-17-2007: Focus Groups: Smoke-Free Campus

April 2, 2007, the University of Iowa health science campus will become
smoke-free.
The task force working on the smoke-free policy change invites you to
participate in Feedback Focus Groups Janaury 17, 18, and 23 for both

R. Narcisse. The discussion will be held Wednesday, January 10 at 4 p.m.

The elected representatives of the UI Staff Council today passed a resolution
of no-confidence in the leadership of the Board of Regents. The vote counted

why the Board of Regents failed the search
University of Iowa students, faculty and staff are planning a
no-confidence vote in the leadership of the Board of Regents. This is
an act of loyalty and commitment to the University of Iowa and to the
state of Iowa necessitated by a series of destructive actions such as
the abuse of the spirit and perhaps the letter of the open meetings law;
the use of an inappropriate criterion to reject candidates; and the betrayal
of the search committee's recommendations on meritorious candidates. Read
