Staff Council Education Committee

To promote awareness on campus of existing professional development opportunities. To explore options for further educational opportunities and to make recommendations to the Council which would make these educational opportunities available to the Staff.

Scope of Concern

1. Supports the Mary Jo Small Staff Fellowship.
2. Selects recipients for Staff Council Tuition Scholarship Program.
3. Organize and present the orientation for new Staff Council members.
4. Works closely with Staff Development to provide staff with professional development opportunities.

Membership

The committee consists of a minimum of 4 Council members and the Coordinator of The University of Iowa Staff Development Office.
