Staff Council University/Government Relations Committee

Purpose

To foster communication of the Council activities to the University, honor staff members, and promote good relationships between the University and local, state, and national governments.

Scope of Concern

--Responsible for administering the Board of Regents Staff Excellence Awards and the University Outstanding Staff Awards each year.
--Works to foster good relationships among local, state, and national officials and the University, alone and in conjunction with Faculty Senate’s Governmental Relations Committee

Membership

While there are no restrictions on membership, at least one Staff Council officer should be a member of the committee.
