Statement: I am seeking election to the Staff Council because I believe that I am well qualified to represent our Staff while working to promote communication among constituents.  My background in Administration and Human Resources, along with a BBA in Management from the University of Iowa, has prepared me for this opportunity to provide assistance to the University Administration.

I look to serve on Staff Council because I am aware of challenges our Institution faces as large numbers of workers begin to leave the workforce. Upon retirement, workers not only leave positions vacant, they also take with them valuable knowledge and experience.  This creates unique circumstances that require a lot of dedication and teamwork in order to be addressed properly and responsibly. My experience, ability to interact with others, and desire to achieve positive results would be an asset to Staff Council as it faces these challenges.

Statement: I am a new University employee who wants to be involved in the community to which I belong.  I am a working mother and am interested in being a part of making decisions that can lead to positive changes within the University.  My diverse background and experiences give me a unique point of view that I would like to use to contribute to the University and its community.  I am an open minded individual who is willing to listen to the input of others and am a peace keeper by nature.  I am an optimist that believes in a bright future and feel that my positive attitude and willingness to work hard can contribute to the University and its staff.
