You've been watching all your life, why not try things from the other side? Student Video Productions is the UI student organization that makes original television shows for the campus cable channel UITV. All students can join, regardless of major or prior experience.

There are many opportunities at SVP to act, direct, write, advertise, edit, and much more. Our producers are always looking for help on both the creative and technical sides of their teams, so it's very easy to get involved in pretty much any area of video production you like.

If you're interested in getting paid real-world experience in the area of video production you can join our contracts team. SVP is regularly hired by the university and outside sources to record and edit special projects. This means that you can get on the university payroll and earn money through SVP for doing contracts work. Working with the contracts manager, you can choose to film whichever assignments fit your schedule.

In order to Join SVP, come to one of our weekly Monday night meetings at 8 pm in the Minnesota Room of the Iowa Memorial Union, or come by the office at 260A IMU (in the Student Organization Office Suite) during staff office hours.
