The 10,000 Hours Show of Eastern Iowa would like to THANK all of you who made this year's show so very special.
Together, we netted 15,289 hours of service in Eastern Iowa, assisting well over 200 local community nonprofits. Approximately 900 volunteers completed at least 10 hours of service with 10K this year, averaging 17 hours of service per volunteer. Congratulations on a job well done!
As implied by our motto “because together we rock,” we are very excited to work with you in the coming year. As we move into our sixth year since it all began at Iowa, 10K is focusing on increased visibility, stronger nonprofit relationships, greater expansion, and yet another rockin’ concert. We are also excited to begin offering year-round volunteer incentives in addition to our main event in the spring. In other words, 10K is transforming from a “one hit wonder” into a “timeless classic.”
But we can’t do it without you. Whether you are student looking for a more meaningful connection to your community, a nonprofit seeking the assistance of local volunteers, or a business wanting to support the mobilization of young people in Eastern Iowa – you can find everything you need to rock the community and MORE right here on this website.

WE WANT YOU! The 10,000 Hours Show (10K) is seeking staff applications for its sixth year in
Eastern Iowa. 10K staff members work together to engage young people in their community through
volunteering, and are recognized with a free ticket to a concert that’s just for them. The only
admission to the show is 10 hours of community service.
10K is still seeking dedicated, passionate young people to fill our staff in its sixth year in Eastern Iowa. If you’re interested in volunteering, event planning, grassroots organizing, marketing, finance, or fundraising, 10K has a spot for you. Help out your local community and apply today!
Applications for 10K staff positions are now available at the Office of Student Life (145 IMU) along with application directions and job descriptions. You can also print out your application here to turn in at your leisure.

The school year is quickly coming to an end, which means the annual 10,000 Hours Show (10K) concert is drawing near! If you haven’t heard the exciting news, OK Go (yes, the guys who rocked the treadmills) will be playing this year’s concert with opening band The Diplomats of Solid Sound! The only way to get a ticket to this amazing line-up is to volunteer 10 hours in Eastern Iowa! Luckily, we have some great last-minute volunteer opportunities to help you get your 10 hours completed. 10K staff will be volunteering at these events, so we’re there to help you if you need us; look for the blue and white ROCK shirts. Whether you choose to participate in one of these activities or not, please remember that the last day to submit hours online at www.corridorvolunteers.org is April 15th by 10PM!
