Hi, volunteers!
The annual 10,000 Hours Show (10K) concert is drawing near! If you haven’t heard the exciting news, OK Go (yes, the guys who rocked the treadmills) will be playing this year’s concert with opening band The Diplomats of Solid Sound! The only way to get a ticket to this amazing line-up is to volunteer 10 hours in Eastern Iowa! Luckily, we have some great last-minute volunteer opportunities to help you get your 10 hours completed. 10K staff will be volunteering at these events, so we’re there to help you if you need us; look for the blue and white ROCK shirts.
Whether you choose to participate in one of these activities or not, please remember that the last day to submit hours online at www.corridorvolunteers.org is April 15th by 10PM!
10K is providing transportation for off-campus events. We’ll send you an e-mail after you register regarding transportation. Let us know where you’d like to volunteer by e-mailing 10KEI.volunteers@gmail.com.
Thursday, March 27th (4-5pm): Ronald McDonald House Clean-Up
The mission of the Ronald McDonald House is to provide a safe, supportive "home away from home" for families whose children are receiving critical medical care in Iowa City. Come clean up The Ronald McDonald House to help make the families more comfortable! Cleaning supplies provided. You can come later and help clean as long as you can, but space is limited to 15 persons, so RSVP early!

Friday, March 28th (4-8:30pm): Family Free Night at the Iowa Children’s Museum
Family Free Night is always the last Friday of every month! The Iowa Children's Museum offers free admission between the hours of 5 and 8pm. This is our way of thanking the community for their continuous support! Volunteers are needed to help interact with museum visitors, assist in the upkeep of museum exhibits and facilitate any special programs or events.

The Van Allen PTO seeks volunteers to assist in running games and activities throughout the evening at their annual Fun Fair. Volunteers also needed for set-up starting at 4:30pm and tear down going until 9pm.

Workers will remove trash, brush and creek bed obstructions along Willow Creek. Trash bags, gloves and equipment will be provided to volunteers to aid in the clean up. Wear some clothes you don’t mind getting dirty in! 40-50 people limit.
