Tri Delta Supports St. Jude Children’s Hospital

Tri Delta enjoys a partnership with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Tri Deltas nationwide have pledged to donate $10 million in 10 years to St. Jude’s in an effort name the Patient Care Floor in the new Chili’s Care Center there.

Day on the Diamond: During the spring semester, Delta Delta Delta hosts its annual Day on the Diamond competition. Fraternities, sororities, and other campus and community organizations are invited to compete in a slow pitch softball tournament to raise money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. There is pizza, music, raffles, and of course a lot of softball!

Twist for the Kids: During the fall semester 2008, the Tri Deltas at Iowa held its very first Twist for the Kids competition. Members of other sororities and fraternities on campus competed against each other in Twister games. The competition was very successful and we look forward to this becoming an annual event!

‘Sincerely Yours’ Letting Writing: Each year we participate in a letter writing campaign which encourages loved ones to help support us and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During the 2008-2009 school year, Tri Deltas at the University of Iowa raised over $20,000 for St. Jude’s through the ’Sincerely Yours’ campaign.

Holiday Egg Hunt: Every spring the chapter hosts an annual Easter/Holiday Egg Hunt for the Iowa City/Coralville community children. Tri Deltas hide eggs, face paint, play games, color with chalk, and even dress up as the Easter Bunny to entertain the children.
