Tri Delta Supports St. Jude Children's Hospital

"We exist on a promise made to St. Jude Thaddeus , the patron saint of hopeless causes to “show the way in life” and to guide us when there is no light to follow. Today, St. Jude is the single largest center in the entire nation for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other childhood diseases. And I am truly honored to say that TriDelta is a key part to miracles like that.

I went to Memphis, Tennessee this summer to witness exactly where our efforts were being channeled and as soon as I stepped foot in that hospital, I knew we were a part of greatness. No matter how devastating it was to see children in pain, the hope brought them above it all. And smiles form over tears. TriDeltas are warmingly welcomed as the “Triangles”. And the triangles give meaning to that word hope." -Bridget Szeluga

We do a few philanthropies to support our partnership with St. Jude. This includes a softball tournament called “Day on the Diamond” where we get teams from all over town to participate and raise money. There is pizza, music, and of course a lot of softball! We also participate in the ‘Sincerely Your’ Letter Writing campaign which encourages loved ones to help support us and the cause itself.

Other Tri Delta Philanthropic Participation

Easter Egg Hunt (spring): This is an Egg Hunt that we hold for the surrounding community that is fun for not only the children, but also for collegiate members. Last spring (2007) we had over 130 children in attendance.

Run for the Schools (fall): Tri Delta partners with the community and volunteers at the event.
