Improving your Study Skills and Habits

To maximize your potential as a student you need to prepare efficiently and effectively for your classes. The resources available through this link are designed to help you evaluate your current study habits and expand on the skills you already have.

 

Tutor Referral Service

Provides students with lists of qualified tutors in various academic areas.

Mathematics Tutorial Laboratory

Free tutorial help for students needing assistance with their mathematics assignments.

Writing Center

Provides one-to-one instruction in rhetorical and communication skills.

 

Speaking Center

Provides one-to-one instruction in all aspects of public speaking.

Statistics Tutorial Laboratory

Provides instruction for students in 22S:002, 22S:008, 22S:025, and 22S:039.

History Teaching and Writing Center

Helps students who need assistance in writing assignments for their history classes.

 

Language Media Center

Provides students with facilities and services for traditional language laboratory work
as well as for foreign language video and computer-based activities.

Chemistry Center

Maintains a list of tutors for hire.

Computer Science Help Lab

Provides general programming help for students in these Computer Science courses: 22C:5, 10, 12, 13, 16, 20 and 30.

Engineering Tutorial Programs

Offer free tutoring at specific times for students in the College of Engineering.
