Advising Switch to Department

 

Although most undergraduates at The University of Iowa are advised at the Academic Advising Center initially, at some point in their academic career most students are "switched" and begin to be advised in their major department. Advising procedures vary in the various Colleges of the University and even in the various departments within the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. The guides below detail what a student should expect once they have been "switched" and are advised in their major department. This is not a comprehensive list and the procedures and policies described are subject to change. Every student should check the web site of their respective department for the latest and most comprehensive information.
