UCM Programs

Small groups help individuals build close, personal ties.

Small groups are ever-changing.  Get an idea of what small groups have done in the past.  If you would like to see one repeated, let us know! Under Construction

Volunteers are needed for various service projects around town, including helping with meal preparation at the Salvation Army, the Free Lunch at the Wesley Center, or with the Overflow Shelter Housing in the winter.

Sojourners' Fellowship (meets year-round)

An ecumenical fellowship for college/grad students and others in their 20's-30's from UCM-related congregations. Sojourners' meets for monthly social events as well as joins UCM for Second Sunday Suppers each month. Contact First Christian Church for more information 337-4181.

The Edge (meets year-round)

kA weekly Bible study/fellowship for young adults.  Supported by St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, but open to all.  This graduate and professional student group meets at 7 PM on Mondays in group member's homes.  Contact St. Andrew Church for more information (319-338-7523), or Curt Goreham-Voss at jessandcurt@hotmail.com or Nick Rudzianski at bluedaybreak@hotmail.com

First Baptist's Faith and Film Night

The Coffeehouse

Looking for a safe space to talk about spirituality and sexuality?  UCM encourages you to check out The Coffeehouse, a safe place for Christians of all orientations to discuss sexuality and spirituality sponsored by the Wesley community. In Fall 2006, The Coffeehouse is meeting on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays at 6:30pm-8pm in the Wesley Center, 120 N. Dubuque St.
