ABOUT US
The University of Iowa Cricket Club (UICC) was recently recognized as a university organization.
The main objectives of the club are:
1. To spread the game of cricket among the students and staff of the university as well as the community around it.
2. To help create the necessary infrastructure to facilitate the playing of cricket (eg. cricket ground, pitch, equipment etc).
3. Organize regular tournaments as well as coaching camps throughout the year including winter.
4. To form a university cricket team that would participate in various leagues/tournaments (eg. Cricket League of Iowa, Midwest Cricket League)
We plan to conduct a number of tournaments both tape ball and leather ball, to increase the active participation of members in the club. The club is also planning to play role in the popularization of the game and the members have been growing continuously. Everyone is eligible for membership, and there are membership dues per year, which are used to fund various activities of the club throughout the year.
