About the UICHR Online Forum
Welcome to the Online Forum of the UI Center for Human Rights. Our goal is to provide a place where people can engage in open, honest, and respectful dialogue about important, current human-rights issues that affect us all. To facilitate a thoughtful dialogue, we ask that all responses be brief (250-500 words), to the point, respectful, and substantive. We invite you to respond to a posted opinion piece by using the e-mail link on that page. Responses will be posted subject to review based on appropriate length, tone, and relevance by the Online Forum moderators, all of them University of Iowa professors from different disciplines and members of the UICHR Executive Board.
Here follows a list of essays that have been posted to date:
The Flawed Execution of Saddam Hussein (1/07), Richard A. Falk
Human Rights and the Legacy of Decolonization in the Middle East (10/06), Robert Blecher
