The Iowa City Fencing Center is on its way to being up and running, but it’s still lacking one crucial thing: A Logo!

So here’s the deal. Judy is asking you to design a logo that will represent the fencing center.

RULES:

Must be original (you can’t have a professional do it for you)

Must be able to be put on a patch, banner, sign, T-shirt, etc.

Must be appropriate for public viewing (Remember, little kids will be wearing this)

Must be easily distinguishable from other clubs

YOU CANNOT USE THE HAWKEYE BLACK AND GOLD COMBO OR ANYTHING HAWKEYE OR UIOWA AFFLIATED. No hawks, birds, or anything even remotely resembling a hawkeye-eque figure.

Helpful hints:

The center’s colors are Black and Turquoise

The full name is: Iowa City Fencing Center

Abbreviation: ICFC

Askfred abbreviation: ICFC-IA

Cliché Logos: Three blades crossed, three blades crossed behind a shield, a fencer doing a fleche attack.

Basically if you’ve seen it before it isn’t original.

Prize:

One electric Non-Fie weapon of your choice

To Enter:

Turn in your idea on an 8x11” piece of paper to Nick Beatty and he will give them to Judy. All entrees must be anonymous. All entrees must be handed in by 10:00pm Thursday October 1st at the latest. ____# entrees per person.

If Judy doesn’t like any of them, then a new contest will occur.
