UITV programming airs in two or three hour 'blocks' in the categories of Performing Arts (music and dance concerts), Campus programming (news, events, stories, etc.) and Athletics (coach's shows, press conferences, etc.)
This block format gives our student programmers flexibility and choice in deciding what University of Iowa programming to air, and and allows the UITV audience to see more diverse content.
DITV News, the Daily Iowan's 15-minute weekday news broadcast, airs in the Campus block and premieres Sundays at 9pm and again at 9:15pm, repeating then at 11pm, 5am, 7am, 1pm and 3pm through Friday afternoon. DITV will be off the air during semester, holiday and summer breaks following the Daily Iowan publishing calendar.

What can we broadcast?
Potential programs should have a connection with The University of Iowa and be sponsored by a college, department, unit, or other recognized University organization. Programs should meet the standards outlined in our policies.
We request that participants in a program sign a release for recording and subsequent broadcast. Download (as a PDF) our model talent release form.
How do I request air time on UITV?
Send an email with your request to firstname.lastname@example.org including your college, department or unit, program/event details, and contact info.
You should also review UITV policies and be prepared to identify potential policy conflicts with your program idea.
