G. Graduation Rate.
The following information is distributed to students as required by the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act of 1990.
Historically, more than 60 percent of students entering directly from high school receive a baccalaureate degree from The University of Iowa within the six-year completion period established by the Student Right-to-Know and Campus Security Act.
The most recent graduation rate available is calculated using the number of students enrolled full-time for the first time at The University of Iowa in the Fall Semester of 1999. Of these 3,747 students, 66.1% had graduated by August of 2005. For purposes of calculating the six-year graduation rate, students who transferred to other colleges and universities are included within the original 1999 cohort (3,747) but are not counted as UI graduates. The 1999 cohort graduation rate would be even higher if it included these transfer students, who were presumably in good academic standing when they transferred.
