Volunteer Opportunities

WRAC trains new volunteers at the beginning of each Semester.

Our next training begins February 2nd .

Any student, staff or faculty member at the University of Iowa - and anyone in the surrounding community - can volunteer at the Center. No prior experience or special qualifications are needed for most volunteer positions; training is provided. After completing training, volunteers may serve as Diversity Dialogue Leaders, Group Facilitators, IWIS members, Men's Anti-Violence Council members, or on our Advisory Board.

All volunteers are asked to submit a Volunteer Application. Training sessions are offered near the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester during the academic year.

Please call (319) 335-1486, fill out a volunteer form online, or print out and send in an application, and let us know if any arrangements for accommodations need to be made in order for you to participate. Space is limited, so sign up early!
