Antonio Ungar

Antonio Ungar is a journalist, translator, and was recently named one of the 39 most significant Latin American writers under 39.  In addition to Las orejas del lobo (Ears of the Wolf), his work includes several collections of stories and the dark political novel, Zanahorias voladoras (Flying Carrots).  He writes for Italian, Spanish, and Latin American publications, and maintains a blog at semana.com.  He met his translator, Anna Guercio, while participating in the University of Iowa's International Writing Program (IWP). Antonio currently lives in the Palestinian city of Jaffa with his wife, novelist and fellow IWP-participant, Zahiye Kundus.
