Novica Tadić
Novica Tadić was born in a small Montenegran village in 1949 and currently lives in Belgrade where he is the editor for the literary publisher Rad. A renowned Serbian poet, he has published fifteen books of poetry, most recently The Unknown (2006). The poems provided in this submission were selected from his books The Object of Ridicule (1987) and The Unknown. His poetry has been represented in many poetry anthologies from Serbia and around the world. Collections of his work have appeared in numerous languages, including English. One of his more prominent works is Night Mail: Selected Poems (Oberlin Press, 1992), translated into English by Charles Simic.
